well the competition was over and the Dante for it was.. but I wasnt fully satisfied with myresult to got back to and started doing some tweaks mainly on the face.. will work on the hair and texture overall and place him in a scene where he rightfully belongs :P..

Ok first I would like to say this model is epic win. You've got phenomenal skills, and I hope you work on more stuff Devil May Cry in the future (MAKE VERGIL PLZ!!)

I just have a few nitpicks if you don't mind:

- I don't like the brown textures, especially the brown on his coat, I'd have preferred if you just stuck to red and black.
- The shirt is too high up his neck, maybe you could put a zipper there or something.
- Never liked those red chaps, I know he wore the same in DMC4, but it just didn't suit him, Dante's no cowboy.
- Lastly, those brown belts across his crotch are a bit out of place...

Now the rest looks brilliant, Rebellion looks very awesome. You did a great job on his face and hair as well.

While I'm at it, I'll just post my favorite Dante design and some pics of Vergil that you must work on next :mad:

@Mazrit: Whoa,, its so cool to see another die hard DMC fan in here :D
I appreciate your input.. most of ur crits make sense and are rite..but some of those changes where a conscious decision.. I was trying to make personal but rather very true to style version of Dante.. I though agree Dante is no cowboy, adding those red chaps might be a bad choice :P

I think I will be doing another DMC related stuff for my next personal atwork.. sorry its not vergil.. I plan to do a scene where Dante is fighting a monster or two. So maybe a boss from the DMC universe.

Jus adding another render with a few subtle changes..
