I was reading an article in India Today a few days ago about the uproar over the portrayal of characters in 'Jodhaa Akbar'.Keeping it in mind, I began to think about it,and I was wondering if people think that censorship is something that kills creativity. Like, for example, here's a hypothetical situation - suppose you had a concept for a feature film, say along the lines of the Mahabarata, but with more of the LOTR sort of feel. Do you think that the idea would be able to come to fruition without some community raising a noise about it in this country, seeing as an epic like Mahabharata does have strong religious tones to it as well?

I was wondering what people thought about censorship in the media, especially in India.
